A simple recipe for you today, really its just assembling ingredients but its sooo good. I literally just made this for breakfast this morning and I seriously rushed through my photos so I could get one of these in my mouth as fast as possible. Ricotta, pear and walnut on toasted granary baguette with honey and thyme. These are classic flavours that just go so beautifully together. They made a delicious weekend breakfast treat, but would also make great canapes. By the way definitely try them with the thyme it adds a lovely savory taste.

I also wanted to take this opportunity whilst this is such a simple recipe to type up to share some of the food blog posts I have loved this month. I seem to discover a new blog I fall in love with everyday there are so many beautiful blogs I admire, but here are a just a small handful.

This Green tea latte by Kiran over at Kiran Tarun  looks like nothing I’ve seen before, I really want to try it. It looks like a frothy latte but with all the antioxidants goodness.

A blog I’ve been really loving recently is Renee Kemps her images are beautiful clean and crisp and these falafel quinoa, roasted pumpkin and yogurt tahini sauce are right up my street.

Passion fruit, white chocolate and hibiscus plated dessert sounds like something sent from heaven head, over to Megans blog Hint of vanilla for more like this.

One last link, I recently discovered the pure green magazines blog and podcasts there are some really great interviews with some well known food bloggers that are really interesting and inspiring.

Ricotta, pear and walnut crostini with honey and thyme                                    Print recipe                           


 Makes 12       Takes 10 mins                                                                                                 
250g Ricotta   
1/2 a large granary baguette, sliced
2 Pears
6 Tbsps Runny honey
40g Chopped walnuts 
Sprig of thyme   


Directions
1. Toast your baguette slices on both sides under the grill until golden brown.
2. Top the slices with ricotta first then thinly slice some pear and place that on top, sprinkle with a few chopped walnuts. Drizzle with honey and a few thyme leaves. Done.
