Chocolate amaretto Easter cakes a seriously chocolatey Easter treat.
Recently I’ve been going through a bit of an ideas slump probably I need to step away from the kitchen for a while and find inspiration elsewhere. Also I think it may be partly down to discovering the joy of listening to podcasts which make any chore or task seem much more manageable and housework is almost enjoyable. However I think I’m starting to get a little obsessed and have started to notice I struggle now with silence. All my white space to process thoughts and generate ideas is full of information. I think having time to day dream is actually really important for everyone especially if your a content creator. So this month I’m going to try and cut down on my podcast consumption purely to give myself back some free head space. I think this is going to be a real challenge for me as I really do love them but I’m hoping I will notice ideas are a little more free flowing. I will let you know what I notice.
On to these cakes, I was sent some lovely produce from Divine including some of their 75% bars which are perfect for baking with, little speckled chocolate eggs and an amazing Easter egg which I highly recommend. So with Easter coming up this weekend what better way to acknowledge it than with ridiculously chocolatey cakes. I added coffee and amaretto to the cake mixture which really intensifies the chocolate and I just love amaretto.
Im looking forward to a long weekend, we have family coming to stay so hoping for some sunshine and I’m sure chocolate will be eaten as well as other Easter treats, maybe my hot cross bun pain perdu or Aimees cheesecake eggs.
Disclaimer this post includes product I was sent for free however all opinions are my own.
